SIMPTOMS OF COVID 19

PRESENTLY COVID 19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS HAVE BEEN LIFTEN IN BELIZE.  

PARROT NEST HAS IMPLEMENTED ENHANCED CLEANING PROCEDURES OF ALL HIGH TOUCH SURFACES IN COMMON SPACES AS WELL AS CLEANING AND DISCINFECTING CABINS BEFORE GUEST ARRIVAL.   

SHOULD YOU DEVELOP SIMPTOMS OF COVID 19 WHILE AT PARROT NEST PLEASE BE SURE TO REACH OUT TO US FOR ASSISTANCE.  WE HAVE A RESPONSE PLAN IN PLACE TO ASSIST YOU SHOULD YOU NEED IT. 

WE MENTION COMMUNICATION VIA WHATSAPP AS A WAY TO COMMUNICATE REMOTELY.  IF YOU DO NOT HAVE WHATSAPP AND DO NOT WISH TO DOWNLOAD THAT APP PLEASE LET US KNOW YOUR PREFERENCE FOR COMMUNICATION VIA WIFI AND YOUR PHONE NUMBER FOR TEXTING. 

SOME SIGNS AND SIMPTOMS OF COVID-19 ARE:

FEVER - SHORTNESS OF BREATH/DIFFICULTY BREATHING - COUGH - CHILLS - SHAKING WITH CHILLS - 

LOSS OF TASTE AND OR SMELL - SORE THROAT - MUSCLE PAIN OR HEADACHES MORE COMMON SIMPTOMS OF OMICRON WOULD BE HEADACH, RUNNY NOSE, SNEEZING, SORE THROAT AND FATIGUE

In the case that you should develop a fever or signs of Covid-19 while staying at Parrot Nest, Please contact management directly via whatapp at (501)669-6068 or (501)660-6336 or email parrotnestlodge@gmail.com. Please do not leave your cabin until you have been advised on testing for covid and are cleared by a health official, wear a mask and sanitize your hands frequently. An emergency kit can be provided to you with an KN95 mask, sanitizer & tissues if you do not have them in your travel supply.  Covid testing can be done here at the lodge by calling one of the agencies in town, test results are done in 15 minutes and a  print out is given to you. Or if you have your own car you can drive to the public hospital just downt he road for testing.  Belize recommends at least 5-7 days until you have no more covid 19 symptoms before you venture out into public,  

Should you need to quarantine, we will provide you with meals in your room and a separate room for those travelling with you if needed. Please communicate your needs via whatsapp, we are here to help make your stay as comfortable as possible.  All added quarantine stays will be billed at the going room rate you are booked at, any additional cabins your group request to isolate will be billed at the going rate of that cabin. 

Should your health deteriorate and you need to be transported to a hospital, we will assist in calling the local health clinic to arrange an ambulance if needed. We are available on whatsapp 24/7 if needed.
