30 days and more prior to arrival: 25% charge on total reservation.
29 and prior to arrival: 50% charge on total reservation.
Please Note: This cancelation policy is for direct bookings with Parrot Nest Lodge only. If you book through a booking agent, the cancellation policy is that of their booking platform.
We do not pre charge for making a reservation, your card will remain on our file and will only be charged the appropriate cancellation fee of your reserved stay if you do NOT show up for your reservation without prior notice to us.

General Information on communication...
There is someone on the property 24/7 but should you need to communicate electronically with us at any time during your stay at Parrot Nest Lodge, use regular phone or download the WhatsApp App if you do not already have it and put in our lodge number 501-669-6068, you can communicate via e mail as well at parrotnesltodge@gmail.com.
Please inform management to assist in contacting our local health department should you develop symptoms of Covid-19 and need a covid test. Parrot Nest Lodge has implemented an enhanced cleaning process of all high touch surfaces in the common areas for guest. Hand washing stations and hand sanitizer stations are available around the lodge. All rooms have been cleaned and sanitized with the specifications and training received through the BTB and our Health Department in Belize

Breakfast is from 6:30 am to 9:30 am
Amazing omelets, eggs, pancakes, French Toast, granola & yogurt.
Served with toast, fruit, GOOD coffee, tea, juice.

Lunch:
Our village has some great little taco places and little restaurants and a bakery with great local food worth trying just a few minutes walk down the road, as well as several grocery stores.
Dinner is served at 7:00 pm-ish
Main dish w/ rice, pasta, or potatoes, salad, veggies, and dessert make up our delicious meals.
We have regular or vegetarian/vegan meals, and cook for special dietary needs (just let us know).

* Self Service refrigerator with cold beers, sodas, and juice available in the common guest area.
* Fresh purified drinking water available for FREE (please stay hydrated in the tropics).
* Laundry service available - US$7.00 per load wash & dry.
*Housekeeping will only be provided upon request, otherwise, cleaning products will be available in the rooms. Fresh bath or beach towels can be provided as needed.
* We have inner tubes you can use for free to float the Mopan River.
* We have neither camping nor guest cooking facilities.
* Parrot Nest does not do any tours but there is a free phone with which to call in your daily excursion, they pick you up and bring you back to the lodge. You pay tour operators directly (there is no mark up on any tour prices). There are many tour companies to choose from, each specializing in something different. Just ask for help calling and information, we are always happy to help.

DIRECTIONS ON GETTING TO THE PARROT NEST LODGE:
DRIVING: It takes approximately 2 hours from Belize City or the international airport. Keep following the highway until you get to the roundabout that says Santa Elena. San Ignacio is just over the bridge. The Nest is around 10 minutes (3 miles) from San Ignacio. There are two routes most often used:
Route 1 - Take the first right at the roundabout that says SANTA ELENA and follow this road all the way, over the new bridge into San Ignacio and continue straight; it will turn into a double-lane boulevard. Follow this boulevard up the hill until you get to the traffic light. Make that right. This will take you three miles out of town. Once you reach our village, you will see a football field. Straight ahead is a dirt road between the village bus/taxi stop and Chen’s Supermarket. Take this road, then keep going straight to the end where you will find Parrot Nest.
Route 2 - Take the second right turn on the roundabout that says SANTA ELENA and follow this road straight, turn right after A&R (yellow building) and follow to the end, make a left, and the next right. This takes you to the low-lying wooden bridge. Once you cross over into San Ignacio town, make a right at the Maya Head statue by the wall of advertisements. Take the road that curves left around the Macal River Park. Turn left at the end of the road at the stop sign. It will become a double-lane boulevard. Follow this boulevard up the hill until you get to the traffic light. Make that right. This will take you three miles out of town. Once you reach our village, you will see a football field. Straight ahead is a dirt road between the village bus/taxi stop and Chen’s Supermarket. Take this road, then keep going straight to the end where you will find Parrot Nest.
BUS/TAXI: The bus from Belize City drops you off at the Cayo Welcome Center in San Ignacio Town. There are regular taxis (US$10) at the bus stop. To find our local shared-ride colectivo taxis, which are much less expensive; walk up to the center of town on Burns Avenue, make a left, and the first side road after the grocery store on the left is where the Bullet Tree Taxi stand is. Direct private cost US$7.50, Colectivos cost US$1.50-$2 per person to get from town to the bus stop in Bullet Tree Falls Village, or US$3 per person to get all the way to the lodge. . All taxis in Belize have green license plates.
SHUTTLES: Shuttles offer the convenience of door to door service. Belize Shuttle, Williams family and his fleet of drivers have been taking care of our guest for over a decade. There are also local cab drivers and most tour companies who provide transport for guests to and from the airport. Many transfers will make stops at the zoo or cave tubing upon making arrangements prior to the trip. Message us for Taxi numbers that use whatsapp for booking if you prefer that route.
Please note that Parrot Nest Lodge does not do tours or shuttles, those recommended are based on personal experience as well as the experiences from our guests over the years.
