- The meaning for Serendib is “Precious Stone” or “A Gem of a Place”.
- Serendib
opened on October 31st 1987 whose owners came from Sri Lanka that is
270 miles long and 140 miles across. The proprietors are Hantley and
Shrinance Pieris how are very amiable to their customers.
- Closes on all public holidays.
- Serendib has 5 workers who are able to enjoy all the national holidays of Belize.
- The business has done very well since 1994.
- Opens
from Monday to Saturday only recently it has been having its doors
closed on Wednesdays because these days business has been slow.
- Parking
spot isn’t available for customers but the food is very delicious;
customers come from Guatemala city just to eat the Rice and Beans
Serendib prepares.
- Events occur on valentines days, mother’s day, father’s days and most importantly on Their anniversary.
- Christmas day they don’t open because every family has their own food and family gathering.
- Front
Picture in the menu is important and has meaning of the traditional way
the Sri Lankan people inaugurate their businesses. It is a good luck
charm.
